I attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. There I majored in history and education. I came to Lancaster eleven years ago and began teaching at Barr Street Middle School. While teaching I completed a Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina in Early Childhood Education. After my studies at USC, I enrolled at Winthrop University where I completed the certification requirements for administration. Lancaster County then gave me a chance to serve as an assistant principal at Indian Land Elementary/Middle School. After four years as an assistant principal, I went to A.R. Rucker Middle School as principal for two great years. I am now beginning a new school year as principal at Buford High School. I look forward to getting to know all the members of the school community.
