Announcements

All students should return white emergency cards as soon as possible.  The information on the cards is very important in ensuring the school can contact guardians and or parents if needed.
 
Any student not wanting to use their assigned locker should let office personnel know so that the lockers can be reassigned to other students.  Currently, there are not enough lockers for all students.
 
Students wishing to purchase pictures should see Mrs. Langley or Ms. Jenkins.  The last day to order is August 25.

Sports News


Cheerleading team will sponsor a spaghetti supper before the Lancaster High game on September 10.  The supper begins at 6:00 pm and cost is $5.00 per person.  Cheerleader team members will be selling tickets beginning next week.
 
Homecoming will be September 17 this year! Get ready to show that JACKET PRIDE!
 
Football season passes are available for $75.  See Mrs. Bowers or Mr. Elliott to purchase passes.

Club News

 
 FEA will meeting every Wednesday until September 14.
 
FEA will sponsor Powder Puff football game on September 14 at 7pm. This long standing tradition pits junior girls against senior girls!
 
Beta Club members can still  pick up blood donor cards and sign up of refreshments in the media center.  The blood drive is on September 10; cards are due in by September 1.  Put your name on the back of the cards you turn in.  Cards can be turned into Ms. Ida. 
 
First Priority will meet every Wednesday at 7:50 a.m. in room 206 with Mrs. Carnes.  Everyone is invited to attend.
 
 BHS now has an Art Club that meet every Tuesday afternoon in Room 303.  Our first activities are to create the backdrops for the band to use in their show on September 17. 
 
The BHS Art Club will be selling Spirit Buttons at lunch on Thursdays and Fridays and at the games until further notice.  The buttons are $1.00 for the 2 1/2 inch ones and $2.00 for the 3-inch ones.  The money will be placed in an account to help the Art Department purchase a new kiln.
